Charity Dinner on the Occasion of the First Birthday of Restaurant Red Canapé

The Sts. St. Constantine and Helena Foundation organised a charity dinner and sale of wines from a collection of wine samples which took place on the occasion of the first birthday at restaurant Red Canapé. The elegant event took place on 9 February (Thursday) at 8 pm. The tasting charity dinner showcased the craftsmanship of four of the best chefs in the marine capital.  The five-level menu was prepared by the team of restaurant Red Canapé – Plamen Stamov, Vasil Yakimov and guest cooks: Plamen Petrov (chef Captain Cook) and Emil Vidov  (chef Rapongi) who gladly joined the charity initiative on the occasion of the birthday. A special guest was the highly attractive sommelier Liubomir Stoianov (restaurant-winery Acant Rouge) – winner of the Sommelier of Year 2007 award from the Fourth National Contest for the best sommelier in Bulgaria. He made a special selection of the wines for tasting. In addition, a selection of wines of a collection of wine samples from Suhindol cellar was showcased and the opportunity for purchase was provided. All this was a true challenge for connoisseurs and collectors.

The event scooped keen interest from eminent Varna businessmen despite the unfavourable weather conditions and the delay of the originally planned date.

To meet the main goal of the Sts. Constantine and Helena Foundation, the funds raised, BGN 4700, will be provided for the support of children deprived of parental care in home Drugarche and home Knyaginya Nadezhda in the city of Varna, as well as of special boarding school Sts. Cyril and Methodius in the village of Krivnya.
