Charity campaign Martenitsas 2016

On the eve of the traditional Bulgarian holiday “Baba Marta” (Granny March), St. St. Constantine and Helena Foundation launched its annual  sales campaign. The martenitsas of this campaign were hand-made this year from the occupational therapy at the Psychiatric Clinic Varna, adjunct to the Multi-Profile Hospital for Active Treatment St. Marina and the pupils of special school Sts. Cyril and Methodius in the village of Krivnya, with the help of the St. St. Constantine and Helena Foundation.

The campaign faces the wide audience and anyone willing to support the charity initiative can choose the martenitsas (s)he finds the closest to his/her taste and that of his/her relatives from our CATALOGUE.

Traditionally, the funds raised will be channeled for the support of socially disadvantaged children from homes Drugarche, Knyaginya Nadezhda, Izgrev family type children’s center and the Children's Home for Medical and Social Care in the city of Varna as well as special boarding school St. St. Cyril and Methodius, the village of Krivnya.

The ritual of tying martenitsas symbolises the coming of spring and a new start. Like the sun will come to warm the land in spring, so you, by supporting this noble cause, will give warmth andmore smiles to disadvantaged children.
